Joe Brown, Tanner’s grandfather, founded A-1 Septic in 1981. The business has remained in the family ever since, consistently delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining a strong reputation for honest, quality work.
Tanner and Shelby took over the business during the height of the pandemic in 2020 and have worked tirelessly to grow and expand it, with the goal of making Joe and Rick proud. At A-1 Septic Systems, we take pride in our in-depth knowledge and expertise in the industry. We are fully licensed by the State of Oklahoma DEQ for the installation of septic systems and pumping. Continuing education is important (and required), and we attend multiple conferences throughout the year to stay up-to-date on the wastewater industry. Tanner is also a board member of the Oklahoma Onsite Wastewater Association, which strives to improve the standard of the wastewater industry in Oklahoma.

Tanner Devine
Owner
Tanner Devine is the owner and operator of A-1 Septic Systems. He and his wife, Shelby, acquired the business from the family in 2020. Together, they have two children, Wylee and Gus. Outside of work, Tanner enjoys golfing, real estate, and spending time fishing. He values the opportunity to meet new people and takes pride in supporting their projects, whether they involve new construction or addressing challenges with their septic systems.
Jesse Axton
Install Crew
Jesse was born and raised in Stillwater and now shares his life with his wife, Renee, and their three sons. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, playing video games, and spending time outdoors with his boys. At A-1 Septic Systems, Jesse’s favorite aspect of the job is operating equipment. He also appreciates the camaraderie among the team, especially when they spend time together in the shop after hours.
Shane Benes
Service
Shane, a native of Morrison, Oklahoma, enjoys life with his wife, Ashley, and their three sons. Together, they spend much of their time fishing, hunting, and enjoying the outdoors. At A-1 Septic Systems, Shane takes pride in installing septic systems and values the opportunity to work directly with customers. He also looks forward to team events, especially attending the OOWA conference with his colleagues.
Dustin Brothers

Dustin has called Stillwater home for most of his life. He enjoys spending time outdoors and also likes playing video games during his downtime. At A-1 Septic Systems, he especially enjoys working on septic system installations. He especially appreciates the sense of community among the team, particularly during after-hours cookouts with coworkers and their families.
Chris Arthur
Pumping
Chris is a proud father to his daughter, Zoey, and values the quality time they spend together, especially on weekends. He enjoys answering her endless questions about life and bugs, always encouraging her curiosity. At A-1 Septic Systems, Chris finds fulfillment in pumping services and supporting customers when they need it most. He understands that many reach out during stressful situations, and he takes pride in being able to offer both help and guidance through his experience.
Amber Jim

Amber is happily married to her high school sweetheart, and they are proud parents of triplet daughters. She is the friendly voice behind the phone at A-1 Septic Systems, expertly managing scheduling and handling essential paperwork. When not busy with work or family, Amber enjoys exercising, cooking, and live music.
